Curtains can be hard to clean, sure you can hoover them but if you want to wash them you may have to get them dry cleaned or at least put them in the washing machine, iron them and rehang them which is not the easiest of jobs. With most blinds a quick dust or wipe and they are as good as new. The blinds will stay as good as new for years and years especially if you have wooden or metal blinds; they can last a lifetime! Just keep them until you want to change the look of the room and then replace them.

Curtains can be very expensive if you want good fabrics as they use a lot of fabric. Fabric blinds use far less material and are therefore much cheaper.
